Earl Grey ~ This popular flavored tea blend has its roots in 1830s Great Britain. As the legend goes, the British Prime Minister Earl Grey the 2nd had rescued the young son of a Chinese mandarin from drowning (or the son f of an Indian Rajah from a tiger, depending on who’s telling the story). The grateful man brought him a gift of blended Indian and Ceylon teas flavored with oil of bergamot, extracted from the rind of bergamot oranges. This Earl Grey is true to the origins of the blend, flavored with real bergamot oil.

Spiced Chai ~ This isn’t the sugar-loaded instant stuff, this is the real deal! A blend of a multitude of fine black teas with six different spices to create a true spiced chai for real tea lovers. This tea is easily one very popular offering. It is excellent hot or cold with cream and sugar to taste.

Wulong ~ A tea that is semi-fermented from the Fujian province in Southeast China. This tea has been cultivated for hundreds of years in China. Wuling is gaining a considerable amount of popularity lately due to studies that suggest its benefits as a weight loss aid*. This tea features a strong flavor and refreshing aftertaste.

*It is suggested by numerous studies that this tea can be an aid in fat-loss. Wulong tea contains a substance called “Polyphenol”, which is believed to play a role in activation the enzymes in the body that break down body fat. However, any claims about the exact ability of Wulong tea to be a weight-loss aid have not been evaluated by the FDA.
